Steampunk Bundle: All Style, No Substance?
The new Steampunk bundle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has arrived, and it’s bringing some serious Victorian-inspired flair to the game. Featuring unique skins, weapon blueprints, and accessories that evoke a retro-futuristic aesthetic, the bundle looks incredible. But the real question is: Does it live up to the hype, or is it just another cosmetic pack that doesn’t change anything gameplay-wise?

The standout feature of the Steampunk bundle is, without a doubt, the operator skins. These skins are designed with impressive attention to detail, incorporating brass, leather, and mechanical parts that give your operator a distinctly steampunk look. The guns, too, are decked out in beautiful camos that incorporate gears, pipes, and steam vents, making them feel like something straight out of an alternate history where steam power rules the world.
However, as with most cosmetic bundles, the question arises: Do these items offer any gameplay advantages, or are they purely for show? Unfortunately, it’s the latter. The Steampunk bundle doesn’t introduce any gameplay mechanics or advantages. If you’re someone who values form over function, then the bundle might be worth the price for the sheer aesthetic appeal alone. But if you’re primarily interested in gameplay, then it’s likely not going to change your experience in a meaningful way.
For many players, these kinds of cosmetic bundles can be a fun way to freshen up their loadout and show off unique skins. But for others, it’s just another visual upgrade that doesn’t do anything for their performance.
What’s your take on cosmetic bundles like this one? Do you think they’re worth buying, or do you avoid them in favor of more practical upgrades?
